Forgiveness

Forgiveness is a Spiritual Power

In a world that equates strength with control and success to be able to retaliate or “get even”, forgiveness can sound like weakness. Forgiveness is not about being weak, it is about being strong enough to take care of yourself and be able to salute the divine in the other person. Forgiveness is a spiritual necessity. A diving superpower. Forgiveness is a gateway to freedom, healing, and alignment with divine law. It is your personal freedom.

Forgiveness is not a concession, it is a bold act of spiritual authority. Divine law trumps physical law.

forgiveness

A powerful Biblical example of forgiveness comes from Luke 23:24. Jesus was hanging on a cross when he said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” This moment displays a revelation of divine perspective. Beyond the cruelty, Jesus recongnizes the spiritual blindness of those who harm Him.

Releasing resentment and judgment is not because others deserve it, but because we deserve peace.

The Law of Forgiveness

Forgiveness operates under spiritual law, the Law of Grace. Most of us have heard about Karma, and you know what we say about her, right? Well, Karma returns to us what we sow. The Law of Grace allows us to go above our past mistakes and opens us to receive divine favor.

As a big believer that our words matter – God created the worlds with his words, and we are created after him – a great declaration for this affirmation is, “I call on the law of forgiveness and am free from mistakes and their consequences. I am under grace and not under karmic law.” This declaration is of spiritual sovereignty.

When we forgive, we step out of a cycle of reaction and into the flow of divine wisdom. By using a declaration by the one just shared, we can stop rehearsing the wounds and start rehearsing our wholeness. And, this, is the way of renewing your mind.

What Didn’t Happen in the Kingdom

If it doesn’t belong in God’s Kingdom, it never happened. God sees as as perfect, if we have accepted his salvation. This view is definitely an invitation to view life through the lens of God’s spiritual truth and that truth is that the spiritual world – which includes our words – is more powerful than our material world. In the Kingdom of God, where peace, perfection, and love reign, there is no injustice, no offense, and no betrayal.

When we learn to align ourselves with this truth, we can more easily forgive. Not because we are ignoring reality, but because we are choosing a high reality.

By do not mean that we deny our emotions. In fact, to acknowledge our pain, and choose to not dwell in it, is a higher choice. Give yourself permission to feel those emotions so that they will detox from your body, then choose. Choose a higher way and forgive.

Here is another great affirmation, “Everyone forgive me and I forgive everyone. Gates swing wide open for my good.” This declaring reminds us that forgiveness is a two-way street. We release ourselve when we release others.

Forgiveness as Healing

Modern psychology now confirms what we have heard from spiritual teach have known for a long time. Forgiveness heals. Forgiveness lowers stress, boosts physical healthy, and improves relationships. Forgiveness also clears your path from divine blessings. Holding onto resentment is like swalling poison and wishing someone else would feel the results.

When you are able to forgive, no matter how hard, affirm the good, and trust divine timing, you literally shift the vibration of the relationship. This allows new possibilities to emerge.

But What If?

Let me just talk for a minute about the what if. What if my relationship is or was abusive? What then? Can I still hope for change?

As someone who was in a relationship that was abusive, mentally and spiritually, by being able to forgive – and not forget – life did change. Don’t get me wrong, the relationship did not improve, but it did change. By releasing the forgiveness, my mind, body and soul is at so much peace.

Living the Verse

Seeing others through the eyes of grace, we are more able to say, “Father, forgive them.” Whether we are dealing with betrayal, everyday irritations, or disappointment (yes, even sever disappointment), our path to the freedom we desire from it, is in forgiveness.

The next time you feel hurt, or notice that your are offended, pause. Breathe. Forgiveness is not weakness. It is wisdom. It is your super power. It is one the keys that unlocks the gates to your higher good.

Affirmation to carry with you:
“I forgive everyone and everyone forgives me. I am under grace and not under the law of karma. The gates swing open for my good.”
